Creamy butternut squash pasta sauce with butternut squash, cream cheese, sage, and parmesan cheese is ladled over pasta to make a warm and comforting dish. This is a simple way to use up and enjoy healthy butternut squash.
1. Roast butternut squash until tender.
2. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add in cream cheese, parmesan, half and half, and seasonings and cook until melted.
3. Cook pasta.
4. Scoop out roasted butternut squash and add to the pot.
5. Blend with immersion blender until smooth.
6. Pour butternut squash pasta sauce over pasta and garnish with sage. You can also top with toasted pine nuts and crispy bacon. Enjoy!
