It’s a great way to sneak in probiotics, especially when they are โso overโ eating yogurt. My kids always go through phases where they either love yogurt and can’t get enough, or they are totally over it.
So when that happens, I like to switch it up. This smoothie is a great way to get in all those good bacteria for their gut.
Also, it works great when we have a busy morning where we have to be somewhere. We can easily whip this up and enjoy this delicious kefir smoothie.

Kefir is a fermented milk drink. It is like a thin yogurt that is slightly sour and is a little fizzy.

- If you do not have any kefir, you could substitute it with 1 cup of probioticย yogurtย and 3 cups of milk. That way you still get the good probiotics. It is basically a drinkable yogurt anyhow.
- Add a spoonful or two of nut butter or collagen peptides for some extra protein. Adding protein can help keep a steady blood sugar.
- Want to add some veggies to this recipe? Add a handful of spinach or kale. The kids won’t be able to even taste it.
- If you are not making kefir yet, no worries, store-bought kefir will also work.
- For a dairy free option, You can use coconut milk kefir.
