Thank you so much for stopping by our little farmhouse to see it all decked out for Christmas. I decided to keep it very simple this year, with fresh greenery, grain sack, candles and knit pillows and blankets. Welcome to our Farmhouse on Boone. I am so glad you’re here.

I cozied up the kitchen with candles and fresh greenery. I had so much fun making wreathes from different greens that I came across.
I am loving my new lights above the sink that I purchased from Lamps Plus.
I made the wreath on the island from some greens I collected, while on a hike with my kids. I like that it looks a little messy and imperfect.
I love to have candles burning in my home. The island runner and candles can’t stay long in a house with toddlers, but I can leave my windowsill candles from Ful Candles burning for hours.
I added greenery in ironstone pitchers throughout my home. It is such a simple thing to add, but I think it looks so beautiful, and adds the perfect touch of Christmas charm.
I kept with my simple theme in the bedroom, adding fresh greenery, grain sack stockings, a knit blanket and candles.
Of course I threw one of my blue grain sack “Merry and Bright” pillow covers on the bed! Although I like red at Christmastime, I thought it would be a nice change of pace to go with blues and whites this year.
We have had the mirror that goes with our antique dresser, that I refinished with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, sitting in the garage since we bought the piece. It just needed to be cleaned up and repaired slightly. I wish I would have brought it in sooner. I love the way it looks with a fresh pine wreath on it.
We have been meaning to refinish an antique wardrobe to put in this corner for many months , but we have put that project on a hold for a while longer. So, for now, a little desk with Christmas trees sits here. They make the room so cozy at night, when it is dark, and they are lit up.
My sister-in-law bought the pallet wood sign, from Felicia Joyce Designs, three years ago for Christmas. I still love it!
I added some of my grain sack stocking covers from the shop!
I made the garland from pine tree clippings. The city cut a tree down, at a park near my house, a few weeks ago. I saw it as free Christmas decor! I just strung the clippings together with floral wire, to make a garland.
Candles can’t stay burning on the nightstand long, because of the previously mentioned toddler boys. But, they sure looked nice for a couple of pictures!
I absolutely love this antique mirror. The little details at the bottom are just perfection. I can’t believe I left it in the garage for so long!
White ironstone is beautiful in any season.
We have a mud room area near the back door of our house. I just love having this little area for coats, shoes and laundry. For Christmas I kept it simple, with a small tree in a crock, cozy pillows, fresh wreathes and candles.
This chalkboard is already scribbled up with kids drawings and reminders but, for this moment, it was Christmas ready.
I put another handmade garland down our big old farmhouse table. I added a runner, that I made with some leftover grain sack fabric, and pillar candles.
For the table settings, I brought out some of my antique ironstone and more fresh greenery. I also added an antique slate to the back of one of our dining room chairs.
You may notice it looks slightly different in the second photo. That is because I have rewritten it several times. My kids like to use it to play school. Just keeping it real, folks. We do actually live in this house.
I told the kids they could add all the tacky and handmade ornaments they want after mommy photographed her Christmas home tour. It is officially fair game now.
For my packages under the tree, I used brown paper wrapping, white jute and these adorable tags from Haystack Mercantile.
More greenery, grain sack, candles and white ironstone filled out the Christmas built ins.
I also added this lovely pottery candle from Flashpoint Candles. It is made from earthenware clay, so it fits in so nicely with my white ironstone.
In a few weeks these stocking will be filled with goodies for the kiddos.
I’m so ready to enjoy making memories and traditions with our little family.
Thank you all so much for stopping by!
