It’s that slow time of year where everything just kind of stops. It is so crazy with the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, parties and decorating and just like that, it’s all over!
The days are short and cold and, if you’re not careful, depressing.
I long for the warm spring and summer days when I can send the kids outside to play all morning.
Winter allows for a little calm and peace in an otherwise crazy world. It’s a time for cozy blankets and hot drinks.
I wanted to share a tablescape with you that I think reflects the cozy simplicity of the cooler winter months.
I love these brass candlesticks that I was fortunate enough to snag at a resale shop for $3. I have seen similar sets sold on Etsy.
This antique ironstone sugar bowl was a Christmas gift from my aunt. I think it was just the sweetest thing for her to buy me. She had seen my house pictures on my blog and went out of her way to find something I would actually love and would fit right in at my farmhouse.
I didn’t purposely distress the dining room chair. I painted it several years ago and the crazies, I mean kids, took care of that process for me.
I made the grain sack table runner from leftover fabric from my shop. I do hope to eventually offer them for sale, but for now just enjoying them in my own home.
I hope you are having a cozy winter also.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
